easy peas

ingredients

  • 1tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 1 garlic clove, crushed or finely chopped

  • 14 oz bag of frozen peas

  • salt and pepper to taste

  1. In large saucepan, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion until translucent and just starting to caramelize, around 6-8 minutes. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, approximately 1 minute. Add frozen peas directly into the pan with salt and pepper, mix it all, and cover the pot with lid with the heat still on medium and let the peas steam out/cook for about 4 minutes stirring once or twice during this time. Check for doneness and seasoning, serve immediately.
